Overview
The Belvue Abyss is very curious, friendly cat and have good hunting skills. Males are not as social and tend to stick to their selves while females seek some social life with other females. Females are more docile and playful than males but males can be playful. Males are very noisy while the female isn't, she will'call' once in awhile and the males have deeper calls too. Both genders are very active and love to run around and won't tire easily. Females can have litters from 3-6 kittens and are of breeding age at 3 as they are fully developed then, females develop faster than males. Males can breed at age of 2 but it preferred to be bred at 3-4 to make sure they are fully grown and not developing still, at the sanctuary anyways as we cannot control them in the wild since we can't separate them with fences like here. Females become adults at age 3 and males become adults at age 3-4. They can up too 10-15 years.
Build
The females and males are very distinct in body build. Males are more masculine while females look feminine. The female should have a more slender body and small head with the ears higher up and slightly curved. The males should have a thicker body build and bigger wider head with the ears more down and curved. Eye colors may only be from light tan and brown to dark tan and brown, the nose is from a dark pink to the lightest.
Coat
The Belvue Abyss's coat can vary in color, from the lightest of Tan and Brown to the darkest, sometimes even white and a bit off white (Females though). Females are not only distinct in build but in color, they tend to be light Tan and Brown coat colored coat while the males are darker. Males have only 4 colors while females have 5. Both genders will have white paws, muzzle tip, and belly that goes to muzzle. Their coats are short and not long and have VERY little to no curls/fluff.
Diet
Their diet consists of small mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, snakes, and insects. Since they are excellent hunters, they have no problem finding food. Winter can be harsh for them though, they can starve during winter as all their food source has gone from the cold.
Threats
The Belvue Abyss has many threats, number 1 being humans. The Belvue Abyss's home is in the woods/forests and many humans cut down trees, clear all the shelter, and etc. Other threats are bigger animals that prey on smaller animals like them; wolves, birds of prey, and etc. Though here at the sanctuary, they are safe from all that and we have simulated the woods and more like how they would live.
